When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Marthin Voller sped through Duerne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Justin Arlov. Miki Embech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Kerch in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Alexander Kerch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Duerne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC København the free kick. After a rather tough play, Duerne's Alexander Kerch got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnny Helring in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Arlov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marthin Voller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. When Johnny Helring, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Justin Arlov was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Duerne defense, Marthin Voller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justin Arlov. The Duerne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justin Arlov should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Duerne's Detlef Lenler got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Marthin Voller came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the FC København fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marthin Voller couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johnny Helring was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Duerne's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Helring came free, but Justin Arlov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miki Embech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Kvieholm in the 57th minute of play. Alex Kvieholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miki Embech having to interfere. Miki Embech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Kvieholm's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. FC København's Miki Embech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Kvieholm in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute Alex Kvieholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miki Embech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Duerne getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alex Kvieholm hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnny Helring in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Arlov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th match minute, Duerne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Kerch to maneuver through the defense. Miki Embech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Kvieholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
