After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Theodor Gurlev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villumstrup SIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Theodor Gurlev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gorm Grunbaum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mikkel Damsbøl's late challenge caught a Horsfeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikkel Damsbøl helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Villumstrup SIK's Mikkel Damsbøl got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theodor Gurlev was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Villumstrup SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikkel Damsbøl to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Bengt Dolbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gorm Grunbaum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poul Varlov's late challenge caught a Villumstrup SIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theodor Gurlev might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gorm Grunbaum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 69th minute of the match Niclas Duholm sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gorm Grunbaum skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes in the game, Theodor Gurlev dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Theodor Gurlev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gorm Grunbaum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Horsfeld got a freekick which was hit by Toke Hornung. Tor Arel struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gorm Grunbaum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villumstrup SIK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikolai Breson got free with Jakob Liblik in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Villumstrup SIK's Jakob Liblik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Villumstrup SIK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodor Gurlev in the 94th minute of play forced Horsfeld's goalkeeper Gorm Grunbaum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
