The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Berthold Gamstad hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Øjvind Assentoft was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Asgar Skarre. After 8 played minutes Madridista C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Berthold Gamstad. 11 minutes into the game, Ellesø AC's Henrik Kjeldgaard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Øjvind Assentoft made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, one of Madridista C.F.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Loke Hornil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Øjvind Assentoft made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Kjeldgaard in the 27th minute. Jim Tannenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øjvind Assentoft having to interfere. Lenni Løgard charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lenni Løgard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Jim Tannenberg came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ellesø AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jim Tannenberg couldn't finish the play. Arvid Darci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimi Finsel in the 35th minute of the match. Henrik Kjeldgaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Loke Hornil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Darci having to interfere.

Arvid Darci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loke Hornil in the 52nd minute. Berthold Gamstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Arvid Darci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Ellesø AC's Arvid Darci got control of the ball when Loke Hornil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loke Hornil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Øjvind Assentoft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Kjeldgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ellesø AC were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Madridista C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Asgar Skarre took the corner. In the 73rd match minute, Madridista C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benth Vedelholt to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 75 minutes, Jim Tannenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellesø AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Tannenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 75th minute of the match Lenni Løgard completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lenni Løgard a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lenni Løgard kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Loke Hornil struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Arvid Darci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madridista C.F.. Øjvind Assentoft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Tannenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Øjvind Assentoft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Kjeldgaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Øjvind Assentoft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Tannenberg in the 88th minute of the match. After 92 minutes of play, Ellesø AC's Jim Tannenberg made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Øjvind Assentoft was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute, Henrik Kjeldgaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ellesø AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ellesø AC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Madridista C.F. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
