The audience thought a goal was coming when Erhard Thøgersted got free with Mathies Ovrebek in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th match minute, Troldhede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikolas Glossing to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Pharao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikolas Glossing's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Rico Gyldenhammer put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Pharao. In the 23rd minute, Rico Gyldenhammer made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Pharao. Randers Sharks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Troldhede were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gunnar Orlander to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolas Glossing in the 54th minute of play forced Randers Sharks's goalkeeper Tommy Pharao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Randers Sharks booed when Troldhede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piet Garfalk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erhard Thøgersted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Pharao was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rico Gyldenhammer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. Nikolas Glossing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Tommy Pharao made a huge save. 72 minutes into the game, Egil Akselholt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Randers Sharks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Troldhede the free kick. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
