The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Langholm's Piet Herstal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tavs Ettehauge in the 3rd minute of play. When Langholm's Mohamed Theisen in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Skjolde FV's protests and gave Gunther Svensmark a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Langholm booed when Skjolde FV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Svensmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohamed Theisen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ricki Sebber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralf Abing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 30 minutes, Tavs Ettehauge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skjolde FV and the Langholm players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricki Sebber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Abing in the 35th minute of the match. Ricki Sebber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Theisen, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Ralf Abing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Langholm were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohamed Theisen made a kick off. Frederick Ledskov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Piet Herstal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piet Herstal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederick Ledskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Piet Herstal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tavs Ettehauge in the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederick Ledskov in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piet Herstal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 68 minutes, Ralf Abing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Langholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Abing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 played minutes Skjolde FV got a freekick which was hit by Gunther Svensmark. The audience cheered loudly when Moses Kelsby's long shot in the 72nd minute became 0-3 when the ball went to the left of and passed Ricki Sebber. Ricki Sebber made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ralf Abing sent off a good shot on target. The referee gave Skjolde FV a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lavrits Brøggild, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Langholm's Piet Herstal. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Langholm's Gordon Pallishøj got a free kick in the 89th minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Frederick Ledskov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skjolde FV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederick Ledskov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Tavs Ettehauge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skjolde FV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Langholm's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
