Cristoffer Michaely hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Nichlas Gyldenborg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Ulfborg FC's protests and gave Marthin Thornhal a yellow card for diving instead. Cristoffer Michaely's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egil Warghede read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoffer Michaely in the 31st minute of play forced Ulfborg FC's goalkeeper Egil Warghede to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristoffer Michaely in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egil Warghede saved Ulfborg FC from getting behind. In the 44th minute, one of Ulfborg FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ulfborg FC. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Lystlund's Nicolai Dvergetved got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Egil Warghede. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristoffer Michaely stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Mathias Gevad sped through Lystlund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Søren Smed. 81 minutes into the match, Ulfborg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoffer Michaely came free, but Egil Warghede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Gevad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fillip Hofbæk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Søren Smed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
