The corner went over the outstretched arms of Højsten's goalie and right to Wictor Stefansen. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Højsten's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Højsten's Georg Justinussen got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of Ågerup FK booed when Højsten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Justinussen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lavritz Bekkersgaard charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lavritz Bekkersgaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Ågerup FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Hindborg to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Georg Justinussen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Bertil Gunter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ågerup FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Højsten the free kick. Rikardt Calundann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teis Fordrup having to interfere. Hagbard Frilund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Hindborg, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Runar Elbrønd to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Ågerup FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lavritz Bekkersgaard to maneuver through the defense. Runar Elbrønd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Timmi Vonved fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ågerup FK's protests and gave Timmi Vonved a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th match minute, Ågerup FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmi Vonved to maneuver through the defense. Ronnie Glenholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rikardt Calundann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teis Fordrup. Ågerup FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ronald Hindborg struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Hagbard Frilund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ågerup FK. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Balthazar Foshammer during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Højsten getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Balthazar Foshammer hit a great ball. Runar Elbrønd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teis Fordrup having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Rikardt Calundann sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ågerup FK's Teis Fordrup didn't even have to move. When Lavritz Bekkersgaard came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ågerup FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lavritz Bekkersgaard couldn't finish the play. Ågerup FK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Højsten had controlled the match.
