The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 2 minutes into the game, one of Tranekilde:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Galaxy United FC. Egil Genild stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ralf Malund. 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Eyvin Prosch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kenneth Grøftebjerg. Eyvin Prosch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Bastian Delkov charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bastian Delkov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 17 minutes into the match, Galaxy United FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Grøftebjerg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eyvin Prosch. After a defensive mix-up in Galaxy United FC's zone, Arne Buchholz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Grøftebjerg came out of the goal and Arne Buchholz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenneth Grøftebjerg made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Eyvin Prosch sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th match minute, Tranekilde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaudius Matarese to maneuver through the defense. Ralf Malund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigurd Almblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egil Genild in the 31st minute of play forced Tranekilde's goalkeeper Ralf Malund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arne Buchholz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tranekilde's Eyvin Prosch got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albinus Revens during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albinus Revens hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When Bastian Delkov came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Tranekilde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastian Delkov couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Sigurd Almblad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Malund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egil Genild fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Malund having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eyvin Prosch made a kick off. Ralf Malund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Genild in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match, Sigurd Almblad got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ralf Malund was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eyvin Prosch in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenneth Grøftebjerg saved Galaxy United FC from getting behind. Galaxy United FC's Kenneth Grøftebjerg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eyvin Prosch in the 65th minute of play. Galaxy United FC's Anthon Vestbøll managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paw Fylling in the 70 minute of the game. Christian Renmark hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Sigurd Almblad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ralf Malund firmly grabbed it by the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Galaxy United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Buchholz came free, but Kenneth Grøftebjerg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tranekilde booed when Galaxy United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Genild didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arne Buchholz came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Tranekilde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Buchholz couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Arne Buchholz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Galaxy United FC got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Almblad. Kenneth Grøftebjerg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eyvin Prosch's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Tranekilde were the better team. Tranekilde's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
