Gerdt Krogsten was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. FC Saucers's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Frits Skinnerup stood somewhat misplaced when Gerdt Krogsten came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 11 minute. If Bernhard Starel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerdt Krogsten in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frits Skinnerup, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Frits Skinnerup made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ebbe Crail in the 22nd minute. FC Saucers's Witomir Jankowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steff Flindhardt in the 27th minute of play. Gerdt Krogsten struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Frits Skinnerup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Saucers. Gerdt Krogsten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Frits Skinnerup when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Witomir Jankowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchior Reshauge, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Gerdt Krogsten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Frits Skinnerup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Sporting Club 1864 got a freekick which was hit by Steff Flindhardt. In the 45th minute Melchior Reshauge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witomir Jankowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of FC Saucers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Club 1864:s goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melchior Reshauge to strike the kick off in the second half. Steff Flindhardt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Witomir Jankowski made a huge save. Samuel Work made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Danny Lensbøl however managed to control. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danny Lensbøl during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Club 1864 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Danny Lensbøl hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Sporting Club 1864 defense, Gerdt Krogsten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frits Skinnerup. The Sporting Club 1864 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frits Skinnerup should have stopped the shot. If Mario Navntorp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frits Skinnerup stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerdt Krogsten's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, FC Saucers's Witomir Jankowski got control of the ball when Steff Flindhardt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frits Skinnerup came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Saucers's Ebbe Crail. But to his dismay, Ebbe Crail quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The audience was convinced that Gerdt Krogsten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frits Skinnerup was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Samuel Work got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Danny Lensbøl. After having played for 92 minutes, Bent Schandorph managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Saucers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bent Schandorph was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerdt Krogsten in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frits Skinnerup saved Sporting Club 1864 from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Gerdt Krogsten managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Saucers's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerdt Krogsten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Skinnerup breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Saucers's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
