The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Frederiksund AC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jens Kammann hit a great ball. Samuel Work took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Absalon Schousbølle. Frederiksund AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Gerløv during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Frederiksund AC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Henry Gerløv hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sporting Club 1864's Samuel Work tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Gorm Racoon made a precise shot to the right of Absalon Schousbølle. Frederiksund AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Steff Flindhardt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Absalon Schousbølle was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 25th minute, Rudi Seiring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vagn Warring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Sporting Club 1864 defense, Rudi Seiring kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frits Skinnerup. The Sporting Club 1864 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frits Skinnerup should have stopped the shot. Kaspar Leisted received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Frits Skinnerup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frits Skinnerup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vagn Warring in the 37th minute of play. Gorm Racoon might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Absalon Schousbølle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gorm Racoon ran back to his position shaking his head. Frits Skinnerup stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Kvolbæk's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Sporting Club 1864's Erhardt Muurbech got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Sporting Club 1864's goal looked a bit too open when Rudi Seiring came free, but Frits Skinnerup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Kvolbæk to make the kick off. Danny Lensbøl kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Frederiksund AC's Freddy Kvolbæk was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Kaspar Leisted managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frederiksund AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaspar Leisted was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Skinnerup breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Sporting Club 1864's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Kvolbæk came free, but Frits Skinnerup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joachim Olris hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Frederiksund AC's Absalon Schousbølle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchior Reshauge in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Gorm Racoon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Absalon Schousbølle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Kvolbæk in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frits Skinnerup, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Freddy Kvolbæk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frederiksund AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Kvolbæk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Skinnerup breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melchior Reshauge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Absalon Schousbølle having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Frederiksund AC's goal looked a bit too open when Steff Flindhardt came free, but Absalon Schousbølle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Freddy Kvolbæk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Frederiksund AC booed when Sporting Club 1864 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Work didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Kaspar Leisted got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frederiksund AC's goalkeeper Absalon Schousbølle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
