In the 8th match minute, Sporting Club 1864 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Work to maneuver through the defense. Frits Skinnerup stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilhelm Brüggemann's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Melchior Reshauge fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Club 1864's protests and gave Melchior Reshauge a yellow card for diving instead. 18 minutes into the match, Sporting Club 1864's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Brüggemann came free, but Frits Skinnerup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gelmore FC's Wolfgang Aloph managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Samuel Work in the 21 minute of the game. Danny Lensbøl hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes Sporting Club 1864 got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Work. Frits Skinnerup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Brüggemann in the 29th minute of play. Joachim Olris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Egon Tobøl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilhelm Brüggemann in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frits Skinnerup saved Sporting Club 1864 from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Gelmore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Melchior Reshauge came free, but Egon Tobøl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sporting Club 1864 booed when Gelmore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Usø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Club 1864's Samuel Work couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gelmore FC. A collision led to Gelmore FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Edward Blachgaard hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match Samuel Work shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egon Tobøl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melchior Reshauge to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Club 1864's zone, Eberhardt Theda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frits Skinnerup came out of the goal and Eberhardt Theda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vilhelm Brüggemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jochum Aunsholm during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 57 minutes, Vilhelm Brüggemann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gelmore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilhelm Brüggemann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the game, one of Sporting Club 1864:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Samuel Work got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Danny Lensbøl. The supporters of Sporting Club 1864 booed when Gelmore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Work in the 69th minute of play forced Gelmore FC's goalkeeper Egon Tobøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frits Skinnerup made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Vilhelm Brüggemann sent off a good shot on target. Gelmore FC's Wolfgang Aloph managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Samuel Work in the 75 minute of the game. Samuel Work took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Egon Tobøl. Gelmore FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Gelmore FC booed when Sporting Club 1864 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochum Aunsholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vilhelm Brüggemann came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Gelmore FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Brüggemann couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Samuel Work in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gelmore FC's Wolfgang Aloph. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Club 1864's goalkeeper Frits Skinnerup, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
