Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Claus Unschuld kicked off to start the match. Niklaes Palmann charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niklaes Palmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bredstruplund getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Niklaes Palmann hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Bastheim in the 3rd minute of play forced Bredstruplund's goalkeeper Hektor Gejl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Eskil Bastheim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariager IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eskil Bastheim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Harold Froggaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eskil Bastheim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Esben Nilander notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bredstruplund's Hektor Gejl. Hektor Gejl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franz Ellemand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Unschuld, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Eskil Bastheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hektor Gejl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bob Værenstrøm kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Esben Nilander came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Mariager IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esben Nilander couldn't finish the play. When Andre Sauvr fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mariager IF's protests and gave Andre Sauvr a yellow card for diving instead. Andre Sauvr kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mariager IF's zone, Claus Unschuld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franz Ellemand came out of the goal and Claus Unschuld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Esben Nilander fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hektor Gejl, passed just outside the right post. 30 minutes into the match, Bredstruplund's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Sauvr came free, but Hektor Gejl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Esben Nilander sped through Bredstruplund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hektor Gejl. In the 37thth minute of the game Esben Nilander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bredstruplund's Hektor Gejl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hektor Gejl came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mariager IF's Andre Sauvr. But to his dismay, Andre Sauvr quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to Mariager IF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Al Skarborg hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the game, Bredstruplund's Claus Unschuld nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franz Ellemand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esben Nilander was the one to do the kick off. Andre Sauvr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mariager IF's Esben Nilander in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bredstruplund's goalie prevented a goal. Asmus Weidel's late challenge caught a Bredstruplund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asmus Weidel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bredstruplund booed when Mariager IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asmus Weidel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Mariager IF got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Saxil. After having played for 71 minutes, Esben Nilander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariager IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esben Nilander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Claus Unschuld came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Bredstruplund fans jumped to their feet. Franz Ellemand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Værenstrøm in the 74th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esben Nilander in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hektor Gejl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, Claus Unschuld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franz Ellemand. Mariager IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claus Unschuld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 91st minute, Bob Værenstrøm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eskil Bastheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hektor Gejl having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bredstruplund's Bob Værenstrøm got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mariager IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
