In the 6th minute of the match Bendt Klausholm sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franz Ellemand skillfully saved the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Runners Mafia's goal looked a bit too open when Esben Nilander came free, but Micael Spangslund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Runners Mafia's Micael Spangslund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eskil Bastheim in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Al Skarborg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariager IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Al Skarborg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Bastheim in the 18th minute of play forced Runners Mafia's goalkeeper Micael Spangslund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariager IF's Franz Ellemand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Durlev in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Runners Mafia's goal looked a bit too open when Esben Nilander came free, but Micael Spangslund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Esben Nilander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Micael Spangslund. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Mariager IF's Al Skarborg got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Andre Sauvr had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Micael Spangslund. Runners Mafia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andre Sauvr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Mariager IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Andre Sauvr hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Esben Nilander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Micael Spangslund was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Micael Spangslund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asker Parming in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dirch Nyegaard during the 61st minute. In the 68th minute, Esben Nilander made a precise shot to the right of Micael Spangslund. Runners Mafia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 75 minutes into the match, Mariager IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bendt Klausholm came free, but Franz Ellemand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asmus Weidel lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 78th minute Rasmus Bylander managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After 80 minutes of play, Mariager IF's Asker Parming made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Micael Spangslund was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Bendt Klausholm fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runners Mafia's protests and gave Bendt Klausholm a yellow card for diving instead. Micael Spangslund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskil Bastheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Runners Mafia's goal looked a bit too open when Asker Parming came free, but Micael Spangslund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mariager IF fully deserved thier win.
