Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Esben Nilander started the match with the kick off. 12 minutes into the match, Mariager IF's goalkeeper Franz Ellemand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Buster Tyrfelt. When Buster Tyrfelt fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gravum's protests and gave Buster Tyrfelt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Al Skarborg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zacharias Nørrekaas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25thth minute of the game Esben Nilander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gravum's Zacharias Nørrekaas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esben Nilander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Zacharias Nørrekaas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gravum's Zacharias Nørrekaas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eskil Bastheim in the 31st minute of play. Zacharias Nørrekaas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esben Nilander's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Esben Nilander put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Zacharias Nørrekaas. In the 38th minute, Sten Jelbak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esben Nilander in the 41st minute of play forced Gravum's goalkeeper Zacharias Nørrekaas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franz Ellemand was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Buster Tyrfelt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Buster Tyrfelt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The Gravum players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mariager IF were winning 1-2.

The supporters of Mariager IF booed when Gravum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miki Juelsbjerg didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Mariager IF's Zacharias Nørrekaas threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Esben Nilander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A hard shot 69 in the game by Esben Nilander from a close distance when the talented Zacharias Nørrekaas managed to make a qualified save. Gravum's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esben Nilander in the 72nd minute of play forced Gravum's goalkeeper Zacharias Nørrekaas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibrahim Bergild's late challenge caught a Gravum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz Ellemand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buster Tyrfelt in the 87th minute of play. Samuel Rubien charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Rubien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Samuel Rubien hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Miki Juelsbjerg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Ellemand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariager IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
