Gunnar Oldengaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louie Obling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gunnar Oldengaard ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Ingerslev's zone, Svenaage Krogmar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Obling came out of the goal and Svenaage Krogmar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gunnar Oldengaard struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Louie Obling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kappelsborg SIK. Gunnar Oldengaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Louie Obling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Husager hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kappelsborg SIK booed when Ingerslev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Bjorklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kurt Husager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Svenaage Krogmar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kappelsborg SIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Svenaage Krogmar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Louie Obling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Svenaage Krogmar suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens Jørsboe during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ingerslev's Jens Jørsboe got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kappelsborg SIK's Klas Hamle couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ingerslev. Christian Tausø kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Kappelsborg SIK's Kenney Myllerup sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Louie Obling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kappelsborg SIK's Kurt Husager got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kenney Myllerup to make the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ingerslev's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Klas Hamle was slow to take the kick. During this time Kappelsborg SIK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Klas Hamle got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Louie Obling quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Kurt Husager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Alvino Dennett had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 68 played minutes Kappelsborg SIK got a freekick which was hit by Kenney Myllerup. Christian Tausø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Erring having to interfere. Rickard Linke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Erring having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ingerslev defense, Kenney Myllerup kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Louie Obling. The Ingerslev fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Louie Obling should have stopped the shot. If Kenney Myllerup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. When Kenney Myllerup came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Kappelsborg SIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenney Myllerup couldn't finish the play. Ingerslev's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Kurt Husager scored to the left of an out of position Louie Obling, making the score, 0-2. Kappelsborg SIK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
