Spectators: 8404 (Terracing: 6303, Seating: 1933, VIP seats: 168) Rene Gjørsig made the kick off and thus started the match. After 2 minutes, Rune Frovin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stagsted and the Brønderslev players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Rune Frovin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee showed Søren Balgaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Søren Balgaard in the 9th minute of play forced Stagsted's goalkeeper Elivélton Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Nevjon Sheta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elivélton Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Gjørsig's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 20th match minute, Brønderslev was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Gjørsig to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Haslauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingolf Køie, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, one of Stagsted:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Elivélton Soares had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Brian Wilmerskov's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Elivélton Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timm Simpson in the 28th minute of play. Elivélton Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Gjørsig in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Vilmar Timmerby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rene Gjørsig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Soares having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stagsted's Ingolf Køie got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Gjørsig in the 40th minute of play forced Stagsted's goalkeeper Elivélton Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Brønderslev's Tommy Haslauer got control of the ball when Peter Taarn tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 played minutes Stagsted got a freekick which was hit by Franck Korndal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

53 minutes into the game, Eske Lindkilde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tommy Haslauer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Brønderslev's zone, Nevjon Sheta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Haslauer came out of the goal and Nevjon Sheta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Rene Gjørsig could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Elivélton Soares however easily saved by the left post. Rene Gjørsig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Soares having to interfere. In the 68th minute Søren Balgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stagsted's Peter Taarn got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vilmar Timmerby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Soares having to interfere. Elivélton Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rene Gjørsig in the 82nd minute. Rene Gjørsig had several of the Stagsted's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Elivélton Soares as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Søren Balgaard in the 87th minute of play forced Stagsted's goalkeeper Elivélton Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stagsted's Elivélton Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Stagsted from getting a goal against them. Elivélton Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Søren Balgaard in the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, Rene Gjørsig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Elivélton Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brønderslev eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
