The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wang Hao Zheng during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Seventh Stranger got a freekick which was hit by Wang Hao Zheng. A collision led to Seventh Stranger getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Dobromir Lerych hit a great ball. Depeche Mode's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Roland Bræstrup scored to the left of an out of position Nikolas Sandkær, making the score, 1-0. Roland Bræstrup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Depeche Mode booed when Seventh Stranger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Lerych didn't get a good kick on the ball. Japke de Boer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nikolas Sandkær tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Per Tværbæk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seventh Stranger and the Depeche Mode players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kaare Dyrbøg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Bramvig in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Depeche Mode got a corner. Seventh Stranger's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Calle Brandsdorf ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Depeche Mode's Joakim Twietmeyer getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Nikolas Sandkær took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Bræstrup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Roland Bræstrup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolas Sandkær saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Depeche Mode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Naadested to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Bræstrup made a kick off. Seventh Stranger's attentive Egon Ringsholm managed to snatch the ball when Vagnar Folmdal made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Per Tværbæk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolas Sandkær having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Seventh Stranger's Roland Bræstrup nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikolas Sandkær made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 72 minutes into the match, Seventh Stranger's goalkeeper Kaare Dyrbøg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joakim Twietmeyer. Wang Hao Zheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaare Dyrbøg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taus Brønfort in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Wang Hao Zheng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikolas Sandkær. Depeche Mode's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wang Hao Zheng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Morgan Naadested hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Seventh Stranger's Kaare Dyrbøg got control of the ball when Calle Brandsdorf tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 95 played minutes Depeche Mode got a freekick which was hit by Jørgen Skenkelsø. When the referee ended the match the Seventh Stranger players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
