Ken Rohbrandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Kobbeltvedt having to interfere. The supporters of FC Drik booed when Grasshopperne Langå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerdt Sahlgreen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grasshopperne Langå's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Ernst Barskov scored to the left of an out of position Asmus Snekkerup, making the score, 1-0. In the 20th minute, Ernst Barskov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asmus Snekkerup was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, FC Drik's Ernst Barskov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asmus Snekkerup narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute of the match FC Drik got a corner. Grasshopperne Langå's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Willy Reitoft ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gerdt Sahlgreen tried in the game's 24th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Asmus Snekkerup. An annoying self made goal, 3-0. Asmus Snekkerup didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernst Barskov went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Ernst Barskov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Rohbrandt in the 31st minute of play. Gerdt Sahlgreen hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Ernst Barskov came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Drik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernst Barskov couldn't finish the play. Gunvald Mitens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asmus Snekkerup having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernst Barskov got free with Asmus Snekkerup in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernst Barskov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Asmus Snekkerup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernst Barskov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grasshopperne Langå's Asmus Snekkerup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunvald Mitens in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Eddy Outze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Barskov in the 60th minute of play forced Grasshopperne Langå's goalkeeper Asmus Snekkerup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asmus Snekkerup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Barskov in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Grasshopperne Langå getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gerdt Sahlgreen hit a great ball. After 66 minutes of play, FC Drik's Gunvald Mitens made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Asmus Snekkerup was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Grasshopperne Langå's zone, Gunvald Mitens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asmus Snekkerup came out of the goal and Gunvald Mitens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddy Outze kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Ernst Barskov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asmus Snekkerup was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Grasshopperne Langå's zone, Ernst Barskov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asmus Snekkerup came out of the goal and Ernst Barskov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gunvald Mitens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Drik's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
