Spectators: 8258 (Terracing: 6306, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 18) A collision led to Odense Boldklub getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Kurt Vinterly hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Agostinho Leal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven Randborg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sven Randborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peer Safft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fabian Finman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Odense Boldklub booed when FC Alsted was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Terkild Mosbech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Alsted's zone, Frands Djurø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Finman came out of the goal and Frands Djurø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 played minutes FC Alsted got a freekick which was hit by Peer Safft. Joachim Acosta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes FC Alsted got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Leal. Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Hjernø in the 37th minute of play. Luis Cipikoff kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Alsted's Agostinho Leal tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Leal in the 42nd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romário Mineiro to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes FC Alsted got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Leal. Fabian Finman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terkild Mosbech, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Leal in the 60th minute of play forced Odense Boldklub's goalkeeper Sven Randborg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Joachim Acosta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Finman. FC Alsted's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joachim Acosta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Sven Randborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Leal in the 75th minute of play. Sven Randborg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Hjernø, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Peer Safft kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Odense Boldklub defense, Agostinho Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven Randborg. The Odense Boldklub fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven Randborg should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC Alsted getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Stephen Hjernø hit a great ball. Many of Odense Boldklub's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Odense Boldklub may have spent more time on the ball, but FC Alsted were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
