With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Randborg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Eberhardt Jermiin fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Odense Boldklub's protests and gave Eberhardt Jermiin a yellow card for diving instead. Eberhardt Jermiin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The coaching staff of Odense Boldklub protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Steen Briis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Odense Boldklub! Zakarias Brejnrod placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The Odense Boldklub fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Esbjerg fB were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
