Blas Cidro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Lindrup in the 8th minute. Xurxo Lagala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blas Cidro having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Blas Cidro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Didrik Faldal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Abajas in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AC Østerlars's Earl Kjær got a free kick in the 20th minute. Blas Cidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xurxo Lagala in the 26th minute of play. Didrik Faldal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Polkoski, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thomas Lindrup in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Blas Cidro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. AC Østerlars's Thomas Lindrup came free and shot a quick shot against goal 30 minutes in the game, fortunately Blas Cidro had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When Franco Baresi fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Østerlars's protests and gave Franco Baresi a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes AC Østerlars got a freekick which was hit by Franco Baresi. In the 33rd minute Augustin Staalfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didrik Faldal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Earl Kjær tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Blas Cidro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute Augustin Staalfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didrik Faldal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augustin Staalfos was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 50 minutes, Victorino Abajas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. København's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Abajas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Lindrup in the 52nd minute of play forced F.C. København's goalkeeper Blas Cidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. København's Blas Cidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svetaslav Navojka in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Lindrup in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blas Cidro saved F.C. København from getting behind. Didrik Faldal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terri Steenstrup in the 84th minute of the match. Blas Cidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Lindrup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. København's zone, Xurxo Lagala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blas Cidro came out of the goal and Xurxo Lagala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.C. København's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
