The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asmus Funke during the 2nd minute. Ezzo Heck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Slovan Liberec booed when Fuzekla TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Deffke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryan Kreuter came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Slovan Liberec's Hansjürgen Fricke. But to his dismay, Hansjürgen Fricke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute Rodolfo Saier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Riessle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Günter Sporer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bryan Kreuter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ingmar Deffke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fuzekla TEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingmar Deffke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucien Riessle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 30 minutes, Christoph Guttenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Slovan Liberec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoph Guttenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezzo Heck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Saier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lucien Riessle made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günter Sporer in the 43rd minute of play forced Fuzekla TEAM's goalkeeper Bryan Kreuter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Bryan Kreuter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günter Sporer in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Hansjürgen Fricke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Kreuter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Sydney Webber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Rodolfo Saier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Riessle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucien Riessle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezzo Heck, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute, Günter Sporer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Slovan Liberec's Piedro Lung got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Saier in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Slovan Liberec's goalkeeper Lucien Riessle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Slovan Liberec:s Lucien Riessle showed great skill when he stopped Ingmar Deffke:s penalty. 90 minutes into the game, Ingmar Deffke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Lucien Riessle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bryan Kreuter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Günter Sporer's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fuzekla TEAM's zone, Günter Sporer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryan Kreuter came out of the goal and Günter Sporer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Slovan Liberec walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
