With a little luck, Langengrund's Ringo Neuner got control of the ball when Sascha Gauger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bayern Munchen's Sascha Gauger got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thorben Untermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaspar Zichmann in the 11th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Langengrund:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bayern Munchen:s goal. The referee gave Bayern Munchen a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gustav Nachtwei, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Langengrund's Ringo Neuner. 1-0. Thorben Untermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herwig Bayer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Herwig Bayer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Langengrund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaspar Zichmann in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thorben Untermann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Davon Domröse charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davon Domröse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Bayern Munchen got a freekick which was hit by Davon Domröse. Thorben Untermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaspar Zichmann in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaspar Zichmann in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thorben Untermann saved Bayern Munchen from getting behind.

Thorben Untermann made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Kaspar Zichmann sent off a good shot on target. Herwig Bayer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thorben Untermann having to make a save. Herwig Bayer struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Thorben Untermann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Langengrund. Thorben Untermann was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Herwig Bayer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herwig Bayer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaspar Zichmann got free with Thorben Untermann in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sevim Raubold in the 72nd minute of play forced Langengrund's goalkeeper Ringo Neuner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Herwig Bayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sascha Gauger during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herwig Bayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ringo Neuner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sascha Gauger in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Bayern Munchen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davon Domröse to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Bayern Munchen's zone, Herwig Bayer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thorben Untermann came out of the goal and Herwig Bayer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Langengrund supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Langengrund would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
