Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Helmut Wellmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Focko Rank having to interfere. Kay Haaf kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Focko Rank made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Helmut Wellmann sent off a good shot on target. Conrado Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SG LaOla Bielefeld getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Reinhard Ruhnau hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, Bruchwedel's Mathieu Schmidt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robert Adomeit came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bruchwedel reached it. Helmut Wellmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Focko Rank read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Bruchwedel's Focko Rank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Bruchwedel from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when SG LaOla Bielefeld's Björn Kolberg fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Focko Rank made an important save on a dangerous shot by Helmut Wellmann in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, SG LaOla Bielefeld's Dimitrios Schuhmacher got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bruchwedel's zone, Helmut Wellmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Focko Rank came out of the goal and Helmut Wellmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Helmut Wellmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SG LaOla Bielefeld's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helmut Wellmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Helmut Wellmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute, Helmut Wellmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Cabral to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Conrado Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Focko Rank was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 56th minute, one of Bruchwedel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bruchwedel. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Conrado Cabral put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Focko Rank. Helmut Wellmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Focko Rank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Focko Rank came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by SG LaOla Bielefeld's Helmut Wellmann. But to his dismay, Helmut Wellmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. SG LaOla Bielefeld's Goran Rathmann was substituted for Conrado Cabral. 78 minutes into the match, Helmut Wellmann notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Bruchwedel's Focko Rank. Focko Rank was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SG LaOla Bielefeld's Helmut Wellmann got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Goran Rathmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SG LaOla Bielefeld fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Focko Rank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goran Rathmann in the 86th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Goran Rathmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Focko Rank was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the SG LaOla Bielefeld players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
