In a very dangerous position, a player in Gimbsheim FSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Bruchwedel. Mathieu Schmidt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jörg Lill. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Ludger Sinnesbichler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Focko Rank was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Gimbsheim FSV's Ludger Sinnesbichler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Focko Rank narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jörg Lill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willi Kemski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludger Sinnesbichler took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Focko Rank. Focko Rank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ludger Sinnesbichler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Focko Rank having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Ludger Sinnesbichler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gimbsheim FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ludger Sinnesbichler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Focko Rank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Gimbsheim FSV's Sonny Dechant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Focko Rank made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 34 minutes into the match, Bruchwedel's goal looked a bit too open when Ludger Sinnesbichler came free, but Focko Rank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sonny Dechant struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Focko Rank didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimbsheim FSV. 36 minutes into the game, Golo Stockbauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bruchwedel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimbsheim FSV the free kick. Golo Stockbauer kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludger Sinnesbichler in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Focko Rank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Schlesinger in the 39th minute of play forced Bruchwedel's goalkeeper Focko Rank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Focko Rank came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Gimbsheim FSV's Ludger Sinnesbichler. But to his dismay, Ludger Sinnesbichler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 45th match minute, Bruchwedel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Keller to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Schavier charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Schavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gimbsheim FSV's Fabian Schavier got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willi Kemski made a kick off. Focko Rank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludger Sinnesbichler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ludger Sinnesbichler in the 55th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Focko Rank kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-5 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Focko Rank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Schlesinger, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sonny Dechant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Focko Rank having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludger Sinnesbichler in the 71st minute of play forced Bruchwedel's goalkeeper Focko Rank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludger Sinnesbichler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Focko Rank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hansjörg Alt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Focko Rank having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, Bruchwedel's goal looked a bit too open when Ludger Sinnesbichler came free, but Focko Rank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gimbsheim FSV played a much better game than Bruchwedel and deserved their victory. The Bruchwedel players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
