After 29 played minutes Bruchwedel got a freekick which was hit by Christian Rabe. 35 minutes into the match, SG LaOla Bielefeld's goalkeeper Robert Adomeit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kay Haaf. Björn Kolberg kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Conrado Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Focko Rank was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Robert Adomeit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bruchwedel. Mauritz Petzolt hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Bruchwedel's Mathieu Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, David Strehl made a precise shot to the right of Robert Adomeit. SG LaOla Bielefeld's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Focko Rank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goran Rathmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruchwedel's Focko Rank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Bruchwedel from getting a goal against them. Helmut Wellmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goran Rathmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Focko Rank read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Focko Rank stood somewhat misplaced when Dimitrios Schuhmacher came free in front of goal and shot 2-6 to the left of him in the 94 minute. SG LaOla Bielefeld's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
