Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Barry Thiele took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry Thiele in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfons Holländer saved Kleinstürzlheim FC from getting behind. Barry Thiele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfons Holländer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. With a little luck, Kleinstürzlheim FC's Alfons Holländer got control of the ball when Reinhold Aydin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Barry Thiele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Barry Thiele kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfons Holländer. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. When Reinhold Aydin came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Fuldaer Giants fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinhold Aydin couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Barry Thiele managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fuldaer Giants's supporters rose to their feet, but Barry Thiele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfons Holländer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reinhold Aydin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alfons Holländer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kleinstürzlheim FC's Alfons Holländer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Thiele in the 41st minute of play. Alfons Holländer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Thiele in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Jens Gillardon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinhold Tillemann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kleinstürzlheim FC booed when Fuldaer Giants was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erich Pfeiffer didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens Gillardon to make the kick off. If Haiko Streicher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Barry Thiele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramon Wicklein's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinhold Tillemann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry Thiele in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfons Holländer saved Kleinstürzlheim FC from getting behind. Barry Thiele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barry Thiele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfons Holländer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Fuldaer Giants were awarded a corner. Helmut Strunck went to the cornerflag to take it. Helmut Strunck made a great header on Fuldaer Giants's corner, it was just that Kleinstürzlheim FC's Alfons Holländer managed to reach the ball for a save. Haiko Streicher kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Reinhold Aydin struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Alfons Holländer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fuldaer Giants. Reinhold Aydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfons Holländer having to interfere. There was no doubt that Fuldaer Giants were the better team. Fuldaer Giants's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
