Thanks to some nice moves Philipp Wachsmann could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Jacques Brenner however easily saved by the left post. Dirk-Justus Wurm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bert Kirchberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Freerk Stenau lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Jacques Brenner. After a rather tough play, LUL's Carsten Schülbe got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tobias Dieckmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Kirchberger having to interfere. If Freerk Stenau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tord Erler lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Stadlberg FC's zone, Philipp Wachsmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacques Brenner came out of the goal and Philipp Wachsmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tobias Dieckmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Kirchberger having to interfere. Bert Kirchberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Dieckmann in the 76th minute of play. Karsten Hans's late challenge caught a LUL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karsten Hans helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Stadlberg FC's Karsten Hans got a free kick in the 78th minute. Christoph Bismarck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Stadlberg FC defense, Philipp Wachsmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacques Brenner. The Stadlberg FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacques Brenner should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the game, LUL's Philipp Wachsmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacques Brenner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Tobias Dieckmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. LUL's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
