Claudius Seubert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Claudius Seubert came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FC. Wanne-Eickel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudius Seubert couldn't finish the play. If Arnd Hennrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, FC. Wanne-Eickel's Holder Amsel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dierk Bethge. After 20 minutes, Helge Gerstemeier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mörlen and the FC. Wanne-Eickel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Mörlen got a freekick which was hit by Helge Gerstemeier. Mörlen's Helge Gerstemeier got his second yellow card of the match in the 22nd minute. The referee ordered Helge Gerstemeier off the ground. In the 23rd minute, Helge Gerstemeier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dierk Bethge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudius Seubert in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Claudius Seubert fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dierk Bethge, passed just outside the right post. With his leg Dierk Bethge managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when FC. Wanne-Eickel's Dario Ahlswede fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of FC. Wanne-Eickel booed when Mörlen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnd Hennrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Claudius Seubert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efraim von Bülow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Dario Ahlswede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dierk Bethge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jochen Mehnert fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC. Wanne-Eickel's protests and gave Jochen Mehnert a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC. Wanne-Eickel's Jochen Mehnert got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 88 minutes of play, FC. Wanne-Eickel's Dario Ahlswede made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dierk Bethge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dario Ahlswede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dierk Bethge having to interfere. Roberto Dittmar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dierk Bethge having to interfere.
