The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Mats Boes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Zschernitz FSV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 12 minutes into the match, Mats Boes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hüttenroda FSV's Uwe Hergt. Uwe Hergt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Rando Nikolic got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Uwe Hergt made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Helmut Schüle sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Thorsten Debus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Böttger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Uwe Hergt managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Zschernitz FSV's Mats Boes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zschernitz FSV's goalkeeper Max Böttger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The player immediately received a yellow card. 2-1 became the score in the 67th minute when Thorsten Debus elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mats Boes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jaro Winzen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hüttenroda FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaro Winzen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a rather tough play, Zschernitz FSV's Helmut Schüle got a free kick in the 91st minute. Zschernitz FSV's Max Böttger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willi Joisten in the 93rd minute of play. Thorsten Debus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hüttenroda FSV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zschernitz FSV.
