Umberto Scherer's late challenge caught a FC Montana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umberto Scherer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Montana booed when Hepsisau FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Scherer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Caspar Koch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hepsisau FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caspar Koch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Montana's zone, Caspar Koch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Behn came out of the goal and Caspar Koch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingo Geppert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georg Wilzek in the 20th minute. Benjamin Behn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Koch in the 20th minute of play. If Caspar Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leif Denck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Benjamin Behn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caspar Koch struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Benjamin Behn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hepsisau FSV. After 36 played minutes Oskar Wojewski rounded Hepsisau FSV's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Leif Denck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Benjamin Behn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georg Wilzek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ingo Geppert made a huge save. If Caspar Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, FC Montana's goal looked a bit too open when Caspar Koch came free, but Benjamin Behn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oskar Wojewski was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Wilzek in the 52nd minute of play forced Hepsisau FSV's goalkeeper Ingo Geppert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Behn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caspar Koch in the 53rd minute. FC Montana's Benjamin Behn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Denck in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Caspar Koch fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benjamin Behn, passed just outside the right post. Caspar Koch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Benjamin Behn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to FC Montana getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Markus Dehnke hit a great ball. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for FC Montana. Niels Skrentny stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ingo Geppert. 2-2. Ingo Geppert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Wilzek in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Thorsten von Heereman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Thomas Batsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute Oskar Wojewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingo Geppert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Behn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niklaus Elzer in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Thorsten von Heereman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niklaus Elzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
