Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hartmut Lötzsch came out of the goal and Karsten Paulssen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 minutes of play, Lemberg's Frank Buschmann made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hartmut Lötzsch was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Karsten Paulssen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Joris Seiler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geestemünde FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lemberg the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Geestemünde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joris Seiler to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Mirko Tippenhauer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hartmut Lötzsch skillfully saved the ball. Manuel Ambrosius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolf Carnitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Buschmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hartmut Lötzsch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Buschmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Karsten Paulssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hartmut Lötzsch having to interfere. Hartmut Lötzsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Paulssen in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Buschmann was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes in the game, Karsten Paulssen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hartmut Lötzsch having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Frank Buschmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lemberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Buschmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute Frank Buschmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Lötzsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes in the game, Karsten Paulssen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hartmut Lötzsch having to interfere. Lemberg's Manuel Ambrosius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolf Carnitz in the 73rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Frank Buschmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hartmut Lötzsch was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 77th minute of the match Drago Schomburg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hartmut Lötzsch skillfully saved the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Karsten Paulssen lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Hartmut Lötzsch. Karsten Paulssen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
