In the 41st minute, Özcan Bastian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Karlsruhe's Jorg Michalowicz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismail Borke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ostbarthausen FSV booed when Karlsruhe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Boll didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismail Borke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delf Pietsch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 84 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ostbarthausen FSV's Sascha Schwedt got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Delf Pietsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismail Borke. Ostbarthausen FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delf Pietsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the match was over Karlsruhe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ostbarthausen FSV throughout the match.
