The Kirchrode FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erno Lamers should have stopped the shot. Erno Lamers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Volker Jäck in the 33rd minute of the match. Joachim Rüther showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Püllen in the 36th minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Kirchrode FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Volker Jäck came free, but Erno Lamers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joachim Rüther showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lothar Adam in the 55th minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Iso Rachel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holtensen and the Kirchrode FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Holtensen's Iso Rachel got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Lothar Adam came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Kirchrode FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lothar Adam couldn't finish the play. Karsten Püllen struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Joachim Rüther didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirchrode FSV. After 62 played minutes Holtensen got a freekick which was hit by Valerius Helbig. After 63 played minutes, Kirchrode FSV's Sigmar Olbers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joachim Rüther came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kirchrode FSV reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Kirchrode FSV's zone, Lemmy Trendelenburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erno Lamers came out of the goal and Lemmy Trendelenburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klemens Furchner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erno Lamers. Kirchrode FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lothar Adam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Sigmar Olbers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joachim Rüther quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Holtensen booed when Kirchrode FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karsten Püllen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match, Lemmy Trendelenburg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erno Lamers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joachim Rüther didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karsten Püllen went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Kirchrode FSV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Holtensen's performance. The match ended with a win for Holtensen.
