Spectators: 5704 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) TSV Pfronten's Gerd-Peter Riese started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lothar Gunkel got free with Uri Kotthaus in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uri Kotthaus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lothar Gunkel in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, TSV Pfronten's Raphael Bundschuh got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Lothar Gunkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerd-Peter Riese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maiko Bolwig having to interfere. Lothar Gunkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute of the match, André Damerau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uri Kotthaus saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ho heenden's Maiko Bolwig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haiko Eichelkraut in the 25th minute of play. When Raphael Bundschuh fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSV Pfronten's protests and gave Raphael Bundschuh a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ho heenden booed when TSV Pfronten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Bundschuh didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gerd-Peter Riese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ho heenden booed when TSV Pfronten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Noce didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Conni Buschlinger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Ho heenden's André Damerau dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 43 minutes into the match, Ho heenden's goal looked a bit too open when Gerd-Peter Riese came free, but Maiko Bolwig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haiko Eichelkraut struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Maiko Bolwig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSV Pfronten. After 47 played minutes, TSV Pfronten's Reinhard Brunner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maiko Bolwig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TSV Pfronten reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Damerau to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lothar Gunkel in the 51st minute of play forced TSV Pfronten's goalkeeper Uri Kotthaus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lothar Gunkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uri Kotthaus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Damerau in the 55th minute of the match. Lothar Gunkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Uri Kotthaus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Bamberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uri Kotthaus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 64 played minutes Ho heenden got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Bamberg. Uri Kotthaus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lothar Gunkel went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in TSV Pfronten's zone, Lothar Gunkel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uri Kotthaus came out of the goal and Lothar Gunkel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Damerau in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uri Kotthaus saved TSV Pfronten from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Ho heenden's goal looked a bit too open when Gerd-Peter Riese came free, but Maiko Bolwig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lothar Gunkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Jafar Nowotny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TSV Pfronten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ho heenden the free kick. The supporters of Ho heenden booed when TSV Pfronten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jafar Nowotny didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Damerau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uri Kotthaus having to interfere. Uri Kotthaus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lothar Gunkel in the 93rd minute of play. Maiko Bolwig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haiko Eichelkraut in the 96th minute. Ho heenden's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
