The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niko Wirth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Priesmeier having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Octavian Unfried mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strodthagen FSV and the Hellersbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hellersbach booed when Strodthagen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavian Unfried didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lawrence Plate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobi Neffin struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Harro Lembeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hellersbach. Daniel Priesmeier was a little too slow when Niko Wirth got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. With his leg Daniel Priesmeier managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Strodthagen FSV's Niko Wirth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Hellersbach getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Waldo Mahr hit a great ball. Waldo Mahr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Curtis Nikisch hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Hellersbach's Daniel Priesmeier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Unfried in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Strodthagen FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Plate came free, but Harro Lembeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lawrence Plate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harro Lembeck was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Lawrence Plate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Strodthagen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curtis Nikisch to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Strodthagen FSV's zone, Waldo Mahr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harro Lembeck came out of the goal and Waldo Mahr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Asbjörn Winter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Harro Lembeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lawrence Plate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harro Lembeck was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Waldo Mahr showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 68 minute of play. If Lawrence Plate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Priesmeier came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Strodthagen FSV's Walter Gauderer. But to his dismay, Walter Gauderer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Alessio Kieß had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Plate's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harro Lembeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Lawrence Plate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harro Lembeck having to interfere. Waldo Mahr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harro Lembeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
