Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mustafa Dembowsky took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Dembowsky in the 5th minute of play forced Niedermeiser's goalkeeper Cesare Ulbrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Gunther Hohmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niedermeiser's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rethen the free kick. In the 8th minute, Gunther Hohmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Mustafa Dembowsky cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cesare Ulbrich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cesare Ulbrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Dembowsky in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mustafa Dembowsky managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rethen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Dembowsky was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesare Ulbrich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erich Burke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Daum in the 18th minute of play. If Mustafa Dembowsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markus Rabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Alfons Daum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Dietrich Chef notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rethen's Erich Burke. Erich Burke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dino Zöller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, one of Niedermeiser:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cesare Ulbrich didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haiko Knabe went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

58 minutes into the game, Niedermeiser's Alfons Daum nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erich Burke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Dino Zöller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Dembowsky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Ulbrich having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Mustafa Dembowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Ulbrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ragnar Heisters kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erich Burke. That made the score 2-4 in the 74 minute of play. Niedermeiser's Ragnar Heisters pulled a muscle in his back after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Philipp Rauschenbach's late challenge caught a Niedermeiser's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philipp Rauschenbach helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, one of Rethen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rethen. The goalkeeper, Erich Burke, was totally fooled by Niedermeiser's Markus Otters, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Niedermeiser's Cesare Ulbrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Dembowsky in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Niedermeiser were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Rethen side.
