Nico Keuken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philippe Jahns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Saar United's goalkeeper Philippe Jahns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Issey Kleiminger. Uwe Brocke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valerian Wentzel. Gospenroda FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Valerian Wentzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akira Wexler in the 12th minute of play. After 16 played minutes, Saar United's Alexander Koenecke shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valerian Wentzel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saar United reached it. Rainer Dahms charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rainer Dahms the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Akira Wexler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes Saar United got a freekick which was hit by Michel Mund. Gospenroda FSV's Tillmann Paroth shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Philippe Jahns but with some difficulty. Valerian Wentzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Kleinmann in the 24th minute of play. Philippe Jahns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Keuken in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Saar United's zone, Issey Kleiminger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philippe Jahns came out of the goal and Issey Kleiminger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joachim Kleinmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gospenroda FSV's Heinrich Radtke shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Philippe Jahns but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Keuken in the 41st minute of play forced Saar United's goalkeeper Philippe Jahns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Issey Kleiminger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philippe Jahns having to interfere. Nico Keuken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Philippe Jahns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saar United's Philippe Jahns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Saar United from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Keuken made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Nico Keuken made a precise shot to the right of Philippe Jahns. Saar United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Valerian Wentzel made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Levent Runde sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Akira Wexler got free with Valerian Wentzel in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saar United's Philippe Jahns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Keuken in the 65th minute of play. Nico Keuken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Philippe Jahns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Nico Keuken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gospenroda FSV's Issey Kleiminger got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philippe Jahns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Keuken in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Nico Keuken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gospenroda FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Keuken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81stth minute of the game Issey Kleiminger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saar United's Philippe Jahns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Issey Kleiminger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philippe Jahns was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Nico Keuken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
