Mario Brückner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asbjörn Binding in the 14th minute of the match. Manfred Walbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Conny Neubauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes of play, Dwoberg's Asbjörn Binding made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Brückner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mario Brückner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulli Wurm, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Ronald Sommerlatt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conny Neubauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Walbeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Brückner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Sommerlatt, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37 played minutes Dwoberg got a freekick which was hit by Branko Meuser. Leo Hambückers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 47th minute, Asbjörn Binding ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Brückner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The wind increased when Asbjörn Binding made the kick off in the second half. 65 minutes into the game, Schillerhöhe FC's Manfred Walbeck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conny Neubauer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Manfred Walbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Conny Neubauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Schillerhöhe FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Alfonso Krieger hit a great ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Ulli Wurm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dwoberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulli Wurm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asbjörn Binding blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Brückner having to make a save. Schillerhöhe FC's Mario Brückner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Schillerhöhe FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asbjörn Binding in the 83rd minute of play forced Schillerhöhe FC's goalkeeper Mario Brückner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Schillerhöhe FC defense, Ulli Wurm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario Brückner. The Schillerhöhe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Brückner should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute, Ulli Wurm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manfred Walbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Neubauer having to interfere. Dwoberg's Ronald Sommerlatt got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dwoberg's Ulli Wurm in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schillerhöhe FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Dwoberg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Schillerhöhe FC.
