Patrick Weippert charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Weippert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patrick Weippert hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When Bayreuth's Daniele Besser in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legends's goalie prevented a goal. In the 6th match minute, Bayreuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jürgen Weege to maneuver through the defense. Daniele Besser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominik Hackner in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dieter Thiesen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dieter Thiesen made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Raik Bachmann sent off a good shot on target. After 27 played minutes Legends got a freekick which was hit by Hartmut Jungblut. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Stein during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, one of Legends:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Legends. Bayreuth's Dieter Thiesen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Bayreuth from getting a goal against them. After 37 minutes of play Legends's Patrick Weippert was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 37th match minute, Legends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Weippert to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Atze Hofheinz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dieter Thiesen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Hopke in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Bayreuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Altmeier to maneuver through the defense. Raik Bachmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Atze Hofheinz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Legends's Davon Elsner. Davon Elsner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Legends's goalkeeper Davon Elsner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raik Bachmann scored 1-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dieter Thiesen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Davon Elsner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Besser in the 75th minute of play. When Daniele Besser came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Bayreuth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniele Besser couldn't finish the play. After 77 minutes, Wilfried Göbel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legends and the Bayreuth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Legends got a freekick which was hit by Wilfried Göbel. 79 minutes into the match, Legends's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Besser came free, but Davon Elsner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Legends's zone, Daniele Besser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davon Elsner came out of the goal and Daniele Besser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vaclav Harth's late challenge caught a Bayreuth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vaclav Harth helped the player get up and apologised. 82 minutes into the game, one of Legends:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gerold von Bonin shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Atze Hofheinz might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davon Elsner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atze Hofheinz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 90 minutes, Dominik Hackner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legends and the Bayreuth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Legends's Dominik Hackner got a free kick in the 90th minute. Daniele Besser hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 96 minutes of play Legends's Dominik Hackner was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
