After having played for 4 minutes, Jesper Albrecht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray Spor Kulübü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesper Albrecht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hieronymus Dieling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimund Kleminski having to interfere. Ubbo Carlsen's late challenge caught a Galatasaray Spor Kulübü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubbo Carlsen helped the player get up and apologised. Ubbo Carlsen kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Amir Kunze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Amir Kunze notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Galatasaray Spor Kulübü's Raimund Kleminski. Raimund Kleminski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodolfo Kuehl kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dominik Kristl. That made the score 2-1 in the 25 minute of play. If Amir Kunze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Hieronymus Dieling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimund Kleminski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amir Kunze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimund Kleminski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amir Kunze in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When Rodolfo Kuehl came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Galatasaray Spor Kulübü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Kuehl couldn't finish the play. Raimund Kleminski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hieronymus Dieling in the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Völkershausen's zone, Jesper Albrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominik Kristl came out of the goal and Jesper Albrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jesper Albrecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Achteresch kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Amir Kunze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Amir Kunze made a precise shot to the right of Raimund Kleminski. Galatasaray Spor Kulübü's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hieronymus Dieling in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimund Kleminski saved Galatasaray Spor Kulübü from getting behind. Despite being the better team, Völkershausen failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
