Herwig Schnurrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Schreer in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, THC Sativa 09's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Schreer came free, but Herwig Schnurrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. THC Sativa 09's Herwig Schnurrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Schreer in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Peter Kreuels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the THC Sativa 09 defense, Thomas Schreer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herwig Schnurrer. The THC Sativa 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herwig Schnurrer should have stopped the shot. Herwig Schnurrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eckart Brennecke in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Eckart Brennecke managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Berlin 68's supporters rose to their feet, but Eckart Brennecke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herwig Schnurrer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC Berlin 68 booed when THC Sativa 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Orth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Schreer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Herwig Schnurrer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Schreer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, THC Sativa 09's Herwig Schnurrer got control of the ball when Eckart Brennecke tried to sneak it across the goal line. THC Sativa 09's Herwig Schnurrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Schreer in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Thomas Schreer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herwig Schnurrer. Eckart Brennecke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herwig Schnurrer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When Eckart Brennecke came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the FC Berlin 68 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eckart Brennecke couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, THC Sativa 09's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Schreer came free, but Herwig Schnurrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eckart Brennecke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herwig Schnurrer having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludwig Brandt during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th minute, one of THC Sativa 09:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for THC Sativa 09. Urs Fabian Trenker kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Thomas Schreer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herwig Schnurrer having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Berlin 68 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
