In the 3rd minute, Hannes Reutter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michael Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernhard Braunheim in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Harbshausen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Pontzen to maneuver through the defense. When Bernhard Braunheim in the 11th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Michael Becker kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernhard Braunheim in the 15th minute of play forced Harbshausen FSV's goalkeeper Michael Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute of the match, Oskar Hampel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Michael Becker was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georg Pontzen during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Georg Pontzen kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Michael Becker made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Fritz Trieb sent off a good shot on target. After 25 played minutes Groß Sarau FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Kurth. Michael Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Hampel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes Sebastian Krieger shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Theo Reinhardt when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 45th minute Sebastian Krieger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Reinhardt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hannes Reutter in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Reinhardt saved Groß Sarau FC from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hannes Reutter made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Groß Sarau FC's Fritz Trieb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Becker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Groß Sarau FC's Theo Reinhardt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Groß Sarau FC from getting a goal against them. Michael Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Kurth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Trieb in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Harbshausen FSV's Dagobert Köster got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes Groß Sarau FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Kurth. After 77 played minutes Hannes Reutter could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-1 into the left cross. 86 minutes into the match, Oskar Hampel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Becker. Harbshausen FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oskar Hampel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The supporters of Groß Sarau FC booed when Harbshausen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagobert Köster didn't get a good kick on the ball.
