Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olaf Schruoffeneger in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens Fickenwirth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Volley's Jens Fickenwirth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Schruoffeneger in the 24th minute of play. Jens Fickenwirth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sönke Lachenmaier in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Fc Cap getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Anselm Biermann hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Volley's Hinnerk Schultz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josef Donnerbauer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46thth minute of the game Sönke Lachenmaier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Volley's Jens Fickenwirth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Fc Cap were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Ewert made a kick off. Friedrich Tetzner hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Sjard Kauf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Cap's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volley the free kick. In the 60th minute Hinnerk Schultz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Donnerbauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Volley's Jens Fickenwirth got control of the ball when Sönke Lachenmaier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Donnerbauer came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Volley's Dennis Ewert. But to his dismay, Dennis Ewert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Volley's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Sönke Lachenmaier scored to the left of an out of position Jens Fickenwirth, making the score, 1-5. When the match was over Fc Cap could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Volley throughout the match.
