But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Lindenthal couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, Prunn FC's Roberto Pomper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Don Decruppe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malte Färfers during the 38th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, TSV Heimaterde's Don Decruppe got control of the ball when Roberto Pomper tried to sneak it across the goal line. Don Decruppe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Lindenthal in the 92nd minute of play.
