AHA66's supporters crossed their fingers, but Günther Westphal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AHA66's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Armin Hagen scored to the left of an out of position Clemens Bittel, making the score, 1-0. Karl-Heinz Stüwe came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by AHA66's Günther Westphal. But to his dismay, Günther Westphal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Sonsfeld FSV booed when AHA66 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Klütz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Watzl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Karl-Heinz Stüwe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Watzl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot by Ferdinand Todzi from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Clemens Bittel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by AHA66's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hagen Diekelmann was slow to take the kick. During this time Sonsfeld FSV's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Hagen Diekelmann almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AHA66's Clemens Bittel did a great save. After 44 minutes, Ferdinand Todzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sonsfeld FSV and the AHA66 players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armin Hagen was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, AHA66's Feodor Hagen got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Jorge Watzl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AHA66's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Watzl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to AHA66 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ruben Teuchner hit a great ball. Armin Hagen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Clemens Bittel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armin Hagen in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemens Bittel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 played minutes, Sonsfeld FSV's Curt Akbulut shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemens Bittel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sonsfeld FSV reached it. Jorge Watzl might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Heinz Stüwe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Watzl ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Xavier Leverenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dietbald Pattmann during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AHA66 booed when Sonsfeld FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dietbald Pattmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Günther Westphal managed to get in a good position for a shot. AHA66's supporters rose to their feet, but Günther Westphal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Heinz Stüwe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
