Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Conny Rinke started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Conny Rinke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Augsburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sergio Holtzmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloys Bürsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Conny Rinke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Ahrens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Theiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Ahrens having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Hardy Malborn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Augsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergerhausen the free kick. Hardy Malborn kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Wolf Diesterhöft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Holtzmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugen Brückl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Holtzmann having to make a save. Alfred Benninghoven kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Bergerhausen's Oleg Ahrens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Theiss in the 33rd minute of play. Nikolaus Höntsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Holtzmann having to interfere. Oleg Ahrens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Theiss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match Bergerhausen got a corner. FC Augsburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aloys Bürsch ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Aloys Bürsch got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sergio Holtzmann quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jari Worm during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Jari Worm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikolaus Höntsch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Sergio Holtzmann made a huge save. After the first half FC Augsburg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sergio Holtzmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolaus Höntsch in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Eugen Brückl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sergio Holtzmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oleg Ahrens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conny Rinke in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, FC Augsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jari Worm to maneuver through the defense. In the 64thth minute of the game Eugen Brückl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Augsburg's Sergio Holtzmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikolaus Höntsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Holtzmann having to interfere. After 73rd play minutes Eugen Brückl shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Sergio Holtzmann and just under the crossbar into goal. Eugen Brückl scored 3-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Holtzmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, FC Augsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Nikolaus Höntsch came free, but Sergio Holtzmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Augsburg's Sergio Holtzmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Brückl in the 93rd minute of play. Nikolaus Höntsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Sergio Holtzmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bergerhausen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
