After a defensive mix-up in Burghausen FC's zone, Bodo Erdmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Jelpke came out of the goal and Bodo Erdmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bodo Erdmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Jelpke having to interfere. Bodo Erdmann struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ralf Jelpke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niederlibbach FC. The supporters of Niederlibbach FC booed when Burghausen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Dobinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Vitus Ehrmann rounded Burghausen FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Vitus Ehrmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Burghausen FC's Ralf Jelpke got control of the ball when Bodo Erdmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bodo Erdmann was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pjotr Bodirsky during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Jelpke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ralf Jelpke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitus Ehrmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Niederlibbach FC's Vitus Ehrmann got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armin Kneuer charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armin Kneuer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Burghausen FC got a freekick which was hit by Armin Kneuer. Ralf Jelpke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bodo Erdmann in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burghausen FC's goalkeeper Ralf Jelpke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ralf Jelpke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bodo Erdmann in the 80th minute of play. If Willibald Gillardon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Bodo Erdmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niederlibbach FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bodo Erdmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Jelpke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Guido Mouratidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Jelpke was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Mouratidis in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralf Jelpke saved Burghausen FC from getting behind. There was no doubt that Niederlibbach FC were the better team. Niederlibbach FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
