The goalkeeper, Vico Oberlercher, was totally fooled by Kettenbach FSV's Danny Butenschön, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Franz Gent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Volker Kader tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wolf-Rüdiger Balski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vico Oberlercher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Ellerau's goalkeeper Vico Oberlercher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricky Röttgens. Günther Herzig was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. Vico Oberlercher made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ricky Röttgens sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the game, Fortunato Mang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vico Oberlercher. Fortunato Mang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match Kuno Anbacher climbed in front of goal and pressed up 3-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Vico Oberlercher. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Kettenbach FSV. Danny Butenschön stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vico Oberlercher. 4-0. If Gerold Bergner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wolf-Rüdiger Balski was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Fortunato Mang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vico Oberlercher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vico Oberlercher came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Kettenbach FSV's Kuno Anbacher. But to his dismay, Kuno Anbacher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 59th minute, Kettenbach FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerold Bergner fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vico Oberlercher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Mang in the 64th minute of play. Fortunato Mang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Wolf-Rüdiger Balski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vico Oberlercher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ricky Röttgens made a precise shot to the right of Vico Oberlercher. Ellerau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hark von Stahl during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 74 played minutes Kettenbach FSV got a freekick which was hit by Hark von Stahl. Gerold Bergner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kettenbach FSV's zone, Gerold Bergner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volker Kader came out of the goal and Gerold Bergner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otto Pohl kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Carsten Wagner struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Volker Kader didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ellerau. Vico Oberlercher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kuno Anbacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
