An unexpectedly hard shot by Kilian Pfennig in the 16th minute of play forced Bömighausen FSV's goalkeeper Götz Despang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steffen Breilmann made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Raik Fohler sent off a good shot on target. Steffen Breilmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raik Fohler in the 22nd minute. Bömighausen FSV's Dankward Hildenbrand pulled a muscle in his leg after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Knut Bähnert fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bömighausen FSV's protests and gave Knut Bähnert a yellow card for diving instead. Hartmut Richerzhagen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Thilo Kornath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bömighausen FSV fully deserved thier win.
